Career Cruising

My short term and long term goals education wise is just maintaining my good grades. I want to be able to go to a good university where I can be able to further develop my brain. Plus, to get into a good university, I need good grades. Especially since I want to go into the medical field, I need at least a 92% average. Career wise, I want to have a job during the summer so I can save money for post secondary schooling. I still would want to have a part time job during the weekends.
For the area that I would want to base my career off of, I need all the main sciences that are offered in high school. I would take chemistry and physics in both grade 11 and 12. I would take biology 12 as well just so I can learn more.
My top five career choices are: Psychiatrist, Radiologist, Oncologist, Neurologist, and           Pediatrician.
For all those careers I would need: chemistry, physics, math, english, socials, and biology for sure. I would prefer to be able to stay close to home, hopefully in the same province. Hopefully, I could get into UBC or even UVIC. Both universities offer courses that I would need. To buff up my record, I could volunteer in places where I am helping others to get accustomed to the jobs that I want. To get to the career that I want, I need to continue to get good grades, save money for post-secondary school, get a job, and hopefully gain more work experience. The thing with wanting a job in the medical field is that it can get quite challenging at times. I would need to make quick decisions since it could be a matter of life or death for someone. Another thing is that I need to be more emotionally mature and stable. Working as an oncologist especially.
For these careers, I would need 2-3 years to get a bachelor's degree, 4 years for an undergraduate degree, 4 years at medical school plus an additional 5 years of residency training (roughly, depending on the career). Also, for some of the careers you would have to obtain a licence from the province you'll be working in. Usually, it takes about 15 years of schooling. Additionally, you would have to take the MCAT ( medical college admissions test). After the residency, you would have to pass the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). To achieve my goal, I would need to remain calm and hardworking plus I should never give up since it is such a long process for all the careers that I want to get into.
