Nutrition Blog

Do you have any health goals related to nutrition? lose/gain/maintain weight? modifications to nutrition? Or do you even care?
I don't really care enough to plan out my meals and know the nutritional values for everything that goes into my body. Although, I don't just put garbage into my body either. I like to keep it quite balanced if I do eat too much junk food but normally the healthier foods have a higher ratio. For dairy products, I use 1% milk for my cereal.

How do you realistically plan to achieve these goals? Use your two day nutrition log to serve as evidence
I don't really have a plan as every time I do try to plan out my meals, it normally doesn't last. I just try to substitute ingredients that are healthier.

Do you have any limitations preventing you from eating as healthy as you want to?
The only limitation would be not having the ingredients to make a healthier option. Other than that I think I just get lazy when making a healthier meal.

Is there anything you can take away from our class nutrition discussions, Q and A's and nutrition logs?
I guess the amount of sugar in the stuff we get from fast food restaurants is surprising. Another thing would just be that I really don't like documenting my food.

  1. A suggestion would be to minimize dairy fat. Switching from 1% to skim would help reduce the amount of calories and fat you consume in each glass of milk or bowl of cereal you have.
